We are seeking a highly experienced QA Manager to establish and lead the quality assurance strategy across our full-stack data annotation platform. This role requires an expert focus on test automation, performance optimization, and end-to-end integration testing within a complex, distributed microservices environment (Kubernetes/Kafka). You will be responsible for defining the quality standards, test architecture, and ensuring platform reliability and data integrity. You will lead the design of test data frameworks for multi-sensor annotation and AI-assisted QA validation, ensuring alignment with real-world data complexities.
QA Strategy & Leadership: Define and implement the comprehensive QA strategy, methodologies, and processes for the entire platform, covering frontend (React/Three.js), backend microservices, APIs, and data pipelines.
Test Automation Architecture: Design and oversee the development of robust, scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, and system integration testing (SIT) across the full stack.
Performance & Load Testing: Establish and execute a formal Performance and Load Testing strategy, focusing on high-throughput scenarios for data ingestion, real-time synchronization, and API responsiveness under scale.
Integration & End-to-End Testing: Lead the planning and execution of complex End-to-End (E2E) and Integration Tests, specifically validating the multi-stage workflow, data flow between microservices (via Kafka), and correct parsing/handling of different data formats.
Data Quality Validation: Implement strategies for testing data integrity and quality checks, ensuring annotation consistency and the effectiveness of automated geometry validation rules.
Collaboration & DevOps: Work closely with DevOps and Engineering leads to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, promoting a shift-left testing approach.
Quality Metrics: Define and track key quality metrics (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, test execution time, system reliability) to report on the overall health of the platform.
10–12 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with at least 4 years in a management or lead capacity.
Expert-level proficiency in designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Python/Pytest, Selenium/Cypress, or similar for API testing).
Required hands-on experience with popular UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for testing the React Single Page Application (SPA).
Deep, hands-on experience leading performance, scalability, and load testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or k6, particularly for distributed systems.
Proven experience with Integration Testing for microservices architectures leveraging message brokers (like Kafka).
Experience with AI assisted testing and validation strategies.
Strong understanding of cloud-native environments (Kubernetes) and the ability to leverage containerization for testing environments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a track record of driving significant improvements in QA maturity.
Experience testing complex data systems, geospatial tools, or visualization applications is highly desirable.
